Machine learning will be incorporated into the curriculum of the elective-required modules in Technical Chemistry in the master's programs in Chemistry and Economic Chemistry

Integrating machine learning methods and modern data analysis into teaching

To integrate machine learning methods and modern data analysis into teaching, our grant application under the FCI call for proposals “Funding for the integration of data science into the education of chemists and chemical engineers at universities” was approved (https://www.vci.de/fonds/kommunikation/meldungen/fci-foerderung-data-science.jsp). The funds will primarily be used to procure the necessary server hardware. The elective module “Special technical chemistry” will in the future include the lecture “Introduction to machine learning methods and data processing.” The accompanying lab course combines experiments and modeling using copolymerization projects as examples.
